Hiring managers rarely read full configs. They look for evidence of method: topology diagram, addressing table, and three paragraphs explaining a failure you fixed.

Strip credentials and public IPs. Replace them with RFC5737 documentation ranges and annotate where production values would live. Include a change log entry — even a fictional maintenance — showing rollback thinking.

We coach learners to pair configs with a troubleshooting story. "Adjacency down" is generic. "Neighbor stuck in ExStart due to MTU mismatch on PPPoE handoff" is specific. Tie the story to a module you completed here if it helps.

Finally, mention what you would do differently. Reviewers trust candidates who acknowledge trade-offs more than candidates who claim perfection.
